Q: What exactly is a complete physical exam at PPCSWL?

A:

A physical is a more extended visit about 20 to 30 minutes and usually most insurances allow one per year. Dr. will go over current medications, labs, order any preventative test, check bp, & go over your general health. Hope this helps. Please call any of PPC's locations Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and would gladly answer any additional questions you have.

It is a comprehensive history and head to toe examination. It may or may not include an EKG, CXR, a stress test, or other screening tests depending on the patient’s age, sex, prior history or risk factors.

New to Florida and this office. I saw a Nurse Practitioner who did not refill my diabetic medication. Shortly after visit I received a call saying I have to “prove” I am diabetic. I emailed all requested information, labs etc and I am told it is not good enough. 3 emails and 4 phone calls and no medication. They did not expect me to prove I had high blood pressure or low thyroid to order that medication. I will be out of medication in less than a week. In my opinion, if you are looking for an efficient office filled with compassionate caregivers I would look elsewhere. This is coming from a retired Registered Nurse who knows how things are suppose to be handled.

What an awful place to go for healthcare. Most of the time you get a NP, not a doctor. You won't renew prescriptions unless I follow your managed care appointments. You refused to refill a simple Jardiance prescription for me because I won't come in for a check up. A life improvement medication that is non narcotic, non addictive that controls blood sugar that I've taken for years refused a diabetic because profit is more important to this medical profit production line of a facility. Shame on you!
